If you received an alert notice “You can use JavaScript!” then javascript is active and you need take no further action.

If you did not see the alert notice “You can use JavaScript!” you need to enable Javascript. Following are some general guidelines for enabling Javascript in various browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click the Custom Level button.
  5. Scroll down until you see the ‘Scripting’ section. Select the ‘Enable’ radio button for ‘Active Scripting.’
  6. Click the OK button.
  7. If you see a confirmation window, click the Yes button.

Mozilla Firefox
  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click the Content tab.
  4. Select the ‘Enable JavaScript’ checkbox.
  5. Click the OK button.

Chrome
  1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
  4. Click Content settings in the “Privacy” section.
  5. Click “Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)” next to “Javascript.”

Safari
  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Select the ‘Enable JavaScript’ checkbox.
