Session 4: Finalizing Your Plan

This Week’s Learning
This week, we will help you finalize a PD plan that infuses IRIS Resources into district or state curricula. Additionally, we will ask you to consider the process for evaluating professional learning. In reference to last week’s materials, “evaluation needs to be extended throughout the system.” This evaluation process will be important to discuss in our final Community Call.
By the end of this week, you will have created a PD plan that infuses IRIS Resources into your curricula for professional learning. We also hope you will share and coordinate IRIS resources with your colleagues.
One question guides our learning this week:
- What is my plan for embedding IRIS Resources in our professional learning curricula?
Let’s Explore
Let’s take some time to engage with the topics below. Remember, this learning is intended to meet your individual needs and interests. As always, feel free to explore the topics that appeal to you most.
Evaluation of Your Professional Learning PlanDevelop a method to evaluate professional learning that collects data in two areas:

Building Community
Thanks to everyone for probing such thoughtful questions during last week’s Community Call. We look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts and ideas around the learning that occurred for you this week.
Reflection
To complete your professional learning plan, take a moment to consider the following:
- How will you determine the impact of the professional learning? How will you know whether the practices and knowledge educators have gained have been implemented and sustained?
- What is your timeline for implementation?
- What resources (e.g., schedule, technology) are needed to successfully implement your professional learning plan?
